Safe internet use: e-safety warning

Important information about Snapchat

Last week Snapchat released a new feature called SnapMap.  This allows all friends and contents to see your exact location.

Police and children’s charities have said they are worried about this as it may allow your child to be located by strangers.

Snapchat does have a minimum age of 13 so strictly speaking, no child at Brunel should be using it.  However we do know that some children do have access to it hence this warning.  Remember the school is running an internet safety workshop this week – please speak to the office for more details.
