Staff and children joined together to celebrate our Harvest Festival this morning.
Our special guest was Rev. Tracy Ansell of the North End Baptist Church who came along to accept the enormous number of donations for the church Food Bank. Rev. Ansell talked about how there is actually enough food in the world for everyone but it needs to be shared more fairly. She then told us about how the church Food Bank helps people in our local area who, for whatever reason, find themselves in need.
Elsewhere in the service, Mr. Gilmour explained the history of Harvest Festival and the children sang two songs, When I Needed a Neighbour and Brunel’s own Harvest Song.
A tremendous thank you for the huge number of donations. Below are a few photographs of the Festival.
